PRINCE MBUSI DUBE - CURATOR: DUMILE FENI: A RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION

Prince Dube is a Curator: Education at the Johannesburg Art Gallery. He was born in 1966 at Kwa Mashu, Durban. At the age of six he moved to Gingindlovu, a few kilometers north of Shaka’s Rock. Prince received his primary education at Dokodweni Bantu Community School and secondary education at Mathubesizwe High School. He received his BA Fine Arts degree at the University of Durban-Westville. He joined the Johannesburg Art Gallery in 1996.

International participation

1. Selected as a national curator for the South African representation in the 25th Sao Paulo Biennale, Brazil, 2002.
2. Attended South African National Cultural Heritage Progam Workshop, Michigan State University, USA, 2000.
3. Completed a professional placement in the field of Arts Management through Indiana University, USA, 1999.
4. Participated in the Shuttle 99 programme in Stockholm, 1998.
